Bournbrook DIY Skate Jam for Queer People and Marginalised Genders

On Saturday July 16th, the West Midlands scene was out in force for the 2022 Bournbrook DIY skate jam for queer people and marginalised genders.

Alongside a whole host of ‘prizes for tricks’ skate jams, there was live music, art stalls, setups and safety gear for beginners, @selextorhood controlling the sound system, and the always on point Bob Sanderson providing amplified encouragement on the mic. Check some footage from the wholesome afternoon here, featuring:

@_palice @tyogbeide @0121_shaun @byjobr @saskia.hawkins @ilylarsi @bill_vip17 @olly_spoon @z444yden @kerri_dennis @jlzrs @emmatinyhands and more.

Huge props to Alice @brumgirlskate and all involved for making this one happen, and for continuing to make skateboarding and community spaces such as Bournbrook DIY both accessible and welcoming to everybody! Same again next year please…
