Max Cotterill 'Free the Land' section from AMFAS

As the world began to shut its doors and batten down its hatches at the beginning of 2020, the AMFAS crew picked up a couple of VX2100’s and hit the streets on a quest to pull together a full-length film of the gang in their respective hometowns across England and Belgium. 18 months, three lockdowns, and a bunch of COVID induced logistical nightmares later, Lewis Royden & Will Berry have released Pentacles - a 10 part, fifty minute DVD featuring Mani Haddon, Shaun Wilkinson, Seb Batty, Gianni Perez-Hernandez, Max Cotterill, James Denning, Grant Peacock and Oan Vanhaverbeke. Plus a seriously heavy list of friends too, including the likes of Neil Worthington, Ricky Davidson, Harry Lintell, Jiri Bulin, Maite Steenhoudt, Alex Raeymakaers and countless others, and there isn’t a skatepark to be seen.

The DVD can be picked up at amfasskateboards.co.uk but while it’s still in the post, here is Max Cotterill's secret section hidden beyond the credits. The nomadic stone mason is never rooted to one patch of land, and while he wasn't protesting Tory attacks on freedom or landing the dustiest of hugs on his homies, Max ventured across all types of terrain to bring you his first ever full part without a single bit of concrete in sight.

FREE THE LAND!

Also, pick up a copy of The Skateboarder's Companion Issue 6 to check out Max's Push interview, in which he discusses his nomadic lifestyle, stonemasonry, living off the land and more!

Filmed and edited by Lewis Royden.
