Not only are we getting older by the year, but somehow the Voltarol Open celebrated its fourth birthday last weekend, brought to you as ever by Dadlands and The Groans Brigade.
Yet again the sun was shining and I think it was due to this years special guest Jason Adams bringing that California sunshine and good vibes to Rollersnakes in Derby.
A fun day was had by all from what I can remember. Hugs, high fives and some people even landed some rather impressive tricks.
It’s important to take time out of the midlife and see old friends. One old friend who did attend was Mr Chris Ince, some might say the ultimate dad. It wasn’t long before he had a beer in one hand and a microphone in the other, just like the old days of Radlands. At 77 years young it was magic to see.
So yeah, it went off and it’s all thanks to everyone who sent kind messages and those that came. Thank you skateboarding, thank you friendships, and thank you Pegnet.
